Get Involved


Volunteer Grower Mentors are a key part of Grow Shetland’s knowledge sharing activities. They are community based experienced growers who are happy to share knowledge and experience to help you grow more and grow better. If you would like to link up with a Grower Mentor please get in touch.

If you are an experienced grower you could become a volunteer Grower Mentor for your community. You would become part of an expanding network of growers in Shetland sharing their your experience and knowledge. Working in your own community, or near by, your know-how will help others become more confident in growing more of their own food.

Training, support and expenses are provided. More information about how it all works can be found in the Grower Mentor Volunteer Handbook or you can contact us direct to ask any questions you have.
